Title: 1967 Triumph TR6C Trophy Steering Lock
Post by: vegashotwheeler on February 26, 2009, 02:13:18 PM
I have a buddy that is restoring a '67 Trophy.
He would like me to rekey the steering lock.
It appears its just a drive pin holding the lock body in the Triple tree.
Is it ok to just drill out the pin or is there something to it Iam not seeing???
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Steering lock is held in by a grub screw, usually 26tpi for that year, that sometimes has an ally plug lightly tapped in to stop theives unscrewing the grub screw and removing the lock.
