Title: Honda CB750 K6 PKO 251R
Post by: robin head on June 11, 2005, 06:36:55 PM
I need help.
Sold the above to a chap from South Wales early part of last year(2004). I met him at Fleet Services on the M£ as he had come up from Wales to a Vintage Autojumble at Guildford?.
I have just been fined by the DVLA fro not re-taxing on declaring SORN,cos I cant prove I have sold the bike.
The chapmwas about 40-45ish and very knowlegable re the 750 range, I assumed he has several others
I need him to contact me to or to infrom DVLA that he noiw owns the bike
Thanks

You've got me worried now!  I sold a C15 last year and have just received the tax reminder.  However I called the DVLA and they just asked me to return the form with a letter saying that I had sold the bike and that would be the end of the matter for me.  I didn't have the buyer's details either, but the DVLA seemed confident that when the new buyer went to tax it, it would be discovered who the new owner was.  I guess, if he chooses not to tax it, then the bike will remain in limbo.  I hope they don't come chasing me!

Problem was I ignored the reminder..........
I cant avoid the £50 fine..........
I cant state that the bike is not on puplic roads
Best plan seem to be to apply for a duplicate V5 the scrap the bike....
