I suggest you try to identify if it is a Series I, IA or II Interceptor?http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/display_books.php
Hitchcocks or Burton Bike Bits:http://www.burtonbikebits.net/royal_enfield_interceptor.htm may also have any parts you need.
For more detailed dating info you may have to contact the Royal Enfield Owners Club, as a lot of Royal Enfield numbers no not follow any logical sequence apparently.

You would need to send a letter to the REOC dating officer along with the necessary requested information and fee.
