Title: AER Crest? - red motorcycle - fifties - sixties?
Post by: Bodi on July 30, 2008, 02:58:18 AM
A picture is worth a thousand words.  In this case, let's hope it's worth at least a link to a website for more information.  Thanks for any and all help.

I'm pretty sure that's a Parilla Slughi.
I've only ever seen photos but its hard to forget a bike that looks like that isn't it.
Cheers,

This is an Aermacchi Chimera 175 or 250, from years 1957 or 1958.

AND WE HAVE A WINNERRRRR!   ;D

Thanks for seeing what my feeble eyes  :-[
couldn't find on that very same site when I first
started my quest.

What really opened my eyes while searching for
that model/brand/year was how many
manufacturers(not only ppl who responded here, but
throughout my net' search), pulled the same style
off, but without the finesse of finish we have on
this one.  I'm not a gearhead/motorcycle nut by
any stretch of the imagination, but it's been a
good education. It has also gotten me quite
interested in finding an old tiger for someone
close to my immediate family. But that's a post
for another forum... most definitely a post for
another nation. I'm from canada.

Anyhow, that was way too wordy for a thank
you.
You have my appreciation, one and all.
