Title: My Dad's Harley

Can anyone help me identify this vintage Harley?  The photo was taken about 1942, but I don't know what year the bike was.  I have checked the photo section and it looks to be close to a 1931 but I'm not sure.  The photo was taken in Brookville, Indiana.  Thanks for your help, Tim

Tim,

Its appears to be a Harley VL model of the mid 30's which has had a later tank badge fitted.
Can't really make out any other didtinguishing details from this photo, have you got any others ?
