Can anyone identify this engine?
-
hello
i think its a J.A.P engine or one of its "clones".
i have a 1929 J.A.P engine 350 sidevalve that looks identical.
please take a brush and clean it , somewhere around the cylinderbase on the aluminium you should find some numbers
and letters.
then we can find out year and size of the engine.

The engine is not mine & I don't have access to it. It is in the Kilgarvan Motor Museum, Ireland. I thought the oil pump may help identify it.

G'day all
Royal Enfield.
Howard.

It looks similar to a Enfield 350cc engine but i'm not sure it is. If it is, it should have Royal Enfield cast into the cover the oil pump is attached to.

Found it, Dirt Track was right, its a 350cc Standard from 1925 ish
