Title: Newbie to T140 Bonne
Post by: colstans on June 29, 2006, 06:32:28 PM
Looking to buy my first non jap bike.
Forgive my ignorance, but is the gear change the same as a japper? I vaugely remember them being down for up. Is this right?
Also, anyone know of a good site which explains the mechanics of T140s, not just trying to sell spares...
I know I have a lot to learn... Have wanted a Bonne for about 25 years.... Looking forward to the journey...
Hopefully get my 78 T140 this weekend
Quite excited !!! :)

The gears on a '78 T140 are on the left side and are 'up for up' so you shouldn't have any problems.

The Triumph Bonneville website may be of use and it has a good forum (Notice Board) with many knowledgeable contributors: http://www.triumphbonneville.com/
