Title: Identifying a Matchless bike
Post by: alfie noakes on May 05, 2010, 08:27:16 PM
Greeting to all,

I am hoping that there is someone who can identify a Matchless motorbike.
I have attached a photograph taken in the late 1940s to early 1950s - probably!
It doesn't quite show all the bike or the number plate

The picture is of my mother sat astride the said bike . I've looked at quite a few
photos in the Matchless gallery section, but being a numpty I can't quite make it out

Sadly the bike and my Ma are no longer around

thanks for your time, Alfie

Rigid, black painted forks, iron head, pressed headlight brackets make it a 1949 model, either 500 or 350cc.

And it looks quite new.
