Title: Royal Enfield found
Post by: Motocraft on August 04, 2010, 04:47:54 PM
Hi Guys!

This bike was recently found near Budapest in Hungary. The owner doesn't know much about it. They think it is a 500cc single, and made in the late 1920's.

Please help me out.  I'd like to know what year, which model, and what would be the approx. current value of it, in this unrestored condition.

Thank you very much for your help.

Gabor.

It looks similar to a 1930 model DL of 500cc (frame, forks and gearbox), but not quite exactly the right engine for this.
Anyway, the saddle tank, hand shift and upright engine make it a 1928 to 1930 model, maybe a 1930 350cc C?
Come on you RE buffs out there and help this man out!
In any case it should be quite rare a model, so could be worth something to the RE enthusiast.
