Hi
I have just bought a rather neglected 350 RE Bullet that I found in a barn in NSW Australia and have been trying to identify it in more detail but having problems.
I have found an engine number in the usual place, V571391P, alongside another number that has been obliterated. There is another number G12789 stamped on the top of the RH c/case just in front of the g/box and the g/box is stamped HDB770.
The frame also has two numbers stamped on the LH side of the headstock 11305 & 4759
Hopefully I have attached a couple of photo's to help identify it
Look forward to your replies.
Cheers

The V....P number might be a Victoria Police number, used when something has happened to the original. (Victoria is the state south of New South Wales where the bike was found.) Years ago when I lived in Victoria I reported to police an altered (over-stamped) engine number on a bike I had bought - I had to have it re-stamped with a VP number, but I forget if it was VP... or V...P

Yes, i've had VP numbers done in the past. Usually if parts of different bikes have been mixed up. I learn't not to mention this fact for later projects when registrying!
