Hi all,
for a racer project I need two iron barrels which will take a bore of 80,5mm.
Any old Norton ES2, model 18,20 or 22 barrels with a bore size of any condition up to an overbore of max +0.04 would do. They may even miss cooling fins or have damaged top spigots - no problem!
There must be plenty of those around lying unused under the bench - so please have a look!
Many Thanks

Building a v twin?

A V twin ES2 would make a cracking bike, someting I have contemplated for quite a few years... cams and pushrods are the stumbling block. I have enough ES2 and model 50 engines (oh yeah and 19s's) to go into production if someone comes up with a feasable suggestion..... :)

@rogerwilko: no, it's just that I like the reassuring fact that I have a spare just in case.....
@bomber: I think it wouldn't be too big a problem to come up with a design solution for the valve train, but it would be a nightmare to find someone to really MAKE the parts needed, e.g. castings!
Might be a topic worth starting a new thread for!
Cheers
