can anyone tell me where the oil presure relese valve is situated on a square four , the engine is a 1951 all alloy two pipe , with the plunger oil pump . thanks

As a comparison; an Hillman Imp engine 875cc/4 is 50lb square inch when hot,
Ariel Square 4, 25-35lbs inch or above this figure;

On Mark 2 models, the pressure release valve is located in the body of the oil pump!

i have found where the release valve should be on this mk1 engine its a spring and ball in the end of the front crank but was missing thats why i could not find it . thanks again for your help
