I just found a brand new MkIII Commando oil tank in the out-buildings of a house I bought :) Its in a Norton cardboard box even!
-
Have a good look around you may find the rest of the bike :D
-
I did... sadly Im not that lucky

It sounds like the start of a project to me. ;) I've a feeling that I've got a battery tray somewhere. Frames are available new and so are cylinder heads now. Go for it ! :D

I might have done ... But... I have a yellow peril sat in the garage and thats the reason I know its a MkIII commando oil tank tbh

What's the chance of a Commando man moving into a house that used to be lived in by a Commando owner ?
A useful spare, anyway as it's not exactly unheard of for the mountings to crack... :o

When finding such things, always examine very carefully ?
Especially for fine hairline cracks.
It can be that what is left is what has been replaced, and not a new one at all...

I did, this one carries no witness marks from it ever being secured to a bike
