ITS ABOUT 1947
I WILL GIVE YOU £100 FOR IT BUT YOU MUST BE A LONG WAY AWAY AS I CAN HARDLY HEAR YOU EVEN WHEN YOU SHOUT

The frame number and engine number will provide positive identification. Give us those.
As for value I'd take up Roskos kind offer before he realises how generous he was.
Cheers,

Thanks for the replies, though the offers i will have to decline. This is my little project I want to complete.
As for the serial numbers....
On the forks it reads : ZC10 2 1287
On engine : ZC11 20637

Hi there Good luck with your project going off the numbers given I would say that both engine and frame are 1951 but you can check these numbers out for yourself if you go to the BSA owners site and follow the links. You can if you wish pay the fee and contact the BSA owners club dating officer and he will search the records and give you more detailed info such as if the engine and frame left the factory together also the date it left the factory and who it was dispatched to.

Its actually a nice little bike as it is please don't mess it up by 'restoring' it.
I used to have one of these nearly 50 years ago, I paid £1.50 (thirty bob) for it, it was in mint condition, so my offer for your much older bike is quite fair I reckon :P
these older C series BSA 250 are much maligned but are really a damn good little bike.
