Title: BSA Tank Stripe
Post by: largeviking on September 17, 2012, 09:14:05 AM
I have a 1965 A65 Rocket. It was originally delivered to the Chief Constable of Leics police in white as his own personal bike. I have painted the central section of the tank white and need a stripe between this and the polished chrome of the sides. Any suggestion as to what this colour should be?

Gold? was thinking black or red, did not even consider gold.

A 1994/5 Moto Guzzi California 1100i spent 4 months on my driveway, it was black & red with gold pin-striping & everybody who admired it said it looked the "dog's b*ll*cks!

See images on the internet.
When I say gold I mean the beautiful metallic lacquers in little tins that Humbrol did.  Triumph /NVT did a T160 in white & gold & it looked the DB's. Nothing goes better with white than a gold pin-stripe, believe me I have a good eye for colour combinations!
