when did triumph do a twin with a alternater and a bolt up crank which model and year would be good , im sure the crank is pre unit but ive not seen a bolt up alt before , thanks

maybe i will look into that thanks , would you know how i could ident this as a trw crank there is cast on both halfs E3296 if that helps and big end jornals are 1and 5/8 . rods are the alloy type with shells ...............no just had a look and shows trw rods as one piece which these are not ...any other ideas ?

A quick google of that number turns up mention of a mid-1950s T110 crank.

I don't think any T110 model had an alternator, however the 5T and 6T models did (from 1954) when the cranks were still the bolt-up type. According to the 1954 parts book the T110 and 6T had the same crankshaft assembly: E3295

Yes, according to the Sept '54 edition 99-0837 workshop manual, the crank big end journals were 1.6235" - 1.6240 (1-5/8 = 1.6250")
