Title: BSA C15 Engine
Post by: Holdenn on March 28, 2013, 05:05:08 PM
Hey,

Me and my dad are restoring a BSA C15 Star and we starting striping the engine down to find this nut (see picture)
just in the gearbox and kickstart housing and we have no idea where is has come from.
The hole in the centre is threaded also.

Can anybody tell me if its part of the engine or anything to do with a bike?

Cheers
Jackk

Is the thread the same thread as the casing screws?
Does the distributor stand up out of the gearbox?
Perhaps the distributor pinchbolt nut had stripped and someone put this behind it.

Hi Jackk it looks like the kickstart stop part number 40-224.
