Title: Triumph TRW paint
Post by: dubdoc on February 18, 2015, 04:58:52 PM
I have just started restoring a complete, low mileage TRW (1956). One of the issues is paint. I just can't find anyone with a paint code for this bike. I have contacted RS Bike Paint in Britain, and they have paint listed, but they are insistent that the paint is flat. Almost every picture I have of a period correct TRW (some still in the crate) shows the paint as gloss. Can I get some help on this? ANY help would be appreciated.

the bike would have left triumph as gloss inc the frame , with gold lines on tank and guards , if it went to the military as most did the first thing they did was to paint all over in a matt drab green . I had one like this and with thinners cleaned of all the matt green , the gloss green and lines where still there and it looked a treat , unfortunately it was to slow so I sold .http://www.picsauto.com/imgs/27700-triumph-trw/4/
