Title: 6v Electrics
Post by: thumper500 on June 14, 2015, 03:44:24 PM
Hi from a new member. I want to convert my  1963 Triumph 21  from 6v to 12v I need some advice on doing this. I have some 12v coils and Bulbs and Battery. Will the original Alternator cope with 12v Any advice appreciated.

If it is coping @6V then it should do so @12V.

Obviously you will need to fit a voltage regulator (Zener diode) or replace the rectifier with a modern reg./rec. voltage control unit, and also modify some of the wiring.
