Tried a new spark plug in it ?
Old or fouled plug may need easy-to-burn easystart to be able to spark...

Tried tipping a spoonful of 2 stroke mix down the plughole, rather than easystart.
Could be your main jet is plugged or blocked off too, if it has been standing for a while and the old fuel has evaporated.

Yes, 2 strokes should normally have the tap turned off & run till they use up the fuel in the carb when being left otherwise as said the petrol evaporates and a glob of oil is left which can neatly plug the jets.

crank case leak ? has it been standing for a long time , rings , f/w mag ? there are lots of reasons a 2 stroke will not run
