Hello Paul,
The colour scheme for 1973 T120V US model was:
Fuel tank - Hi-Fi vermilion with upper gold scallops and white pin stripe.
Air filters - black
Side covers - black
Headlamp brackets - black
Upper fork covers, mudguards, mudguard braces and grab handle - chrome
Fork sliders -polished
The approximate month of manufacture and also the model year should be stamped as a two letter prefix before the engine and frame numbers, the first letter being the month date code and the second letter the model year code. So a 1973 model should have 'H' as the second prefix letter.

hello and thank´s for the information. the code of the bike begins with kj

the code of the bike begins with kj
In that case your T120 is an early 1974 model.
= KJ
Month code K = September.
Model year (not calendar year) code J = 1974
Triumph production of the new year models actually started during the summer of the preceeding year, so it would have been made in September 1973 but the actual year model is 1974.

So the US tank colour would have been purple/white.
