Title: 6 VOLT COIL RESISTANCE
Post by: wunatey on May 10, 2019, 09:26:47 PM
I have 2 x 6volt coils I am getting the same resistance readings on both but I do not know if they are both good or faulty, across the primary's I am getting 1.9 ohms, across the primary and secondary I am getting 4.9k ohms is this correct as I have read that the secondary's should be up about 10-11k ohms
Thanks

Hi W
The values sound good to me
10-11 k is usually a modern electronic ignition coil value
