Title: george todd bantam heads
Post by: taffdog on January 19, 2008, 10:27:36 PM
??? I have just been given a couple of center plug bantam heads and was told they are by george todd ,they both have very different squish chambers. One is quite a shallow and the outher one has a sort of bell shaped squish. Can anyone enliten me as to what i've got and will these help my D/14 trials. I suspect they are more hi-comp than standard.

Hi,
The squish head one (right in your picture) was one of my own racing specials,
while I cannot quite recall what the left hand one was for; clearly bantam of course, but after all these years I'm a bit foggy on this >:( It was certainly made in the late 60s, 'cos I left the country in 72...
I'm astonished that these thing are still around :)
Good luck
George Todd (now 83)

Hi George Todd here again, on second thoughts the GT100 head in left hand picture, is almost certainly too high compression ration for a trials Bantam.
The other cylinder head is definitely one of my racing specials...
Cheers,
GeTe
