Title: How to change CB750 Steering Lock
Post by: Richard_Lloyd on June 24, 2005, 09:54:31 PM
Hello.  Can anyone tell me how to remove the old steering lock on a Honda CB750?  It is retained by what looks like a rivet through a washer.  Is this removable?  The new lock has not got anything with it.  Cheers.  Richard.

If you are able to get a thin lever under the washer then you may be able to lever the rivet out if you are careful, as these rivets are generally made of soft metal the rivet head could break off and then you will have to drill the rest of it out in order to fit a new one.
I am not sure if Honda list the rivet as a spare part or not, if not then try an  engineering shop ?

If you can't find the answer here try the big SOHC web Forum for 750s http://www.sohc4.us/forums/
