my knowledge of these types is limited but IIRC the original machines were using a West Bend engine till Rokon took over. You might find the following manual has the information:

1st built 1959 nethercutts used maico engray engines with maybe a 2 spd clutch manual albion transmissions ,1960-61 used jlo engine 98cc with air cooled primary fliud drive also used with 3spd albion transmission .1962-63 was first year for west bend with oil cooled primary fluid drive used a 3spd albion transmission . then redesigned useing newly designed mercury clutch .
Mustang motorcycles was going out of business at time and engineers Jim canvangh and Howard Forester move to nethercutt industires.1959-1964 were only years not really known how many bikes were built .1959 could have been only one . 1960-62 very very useing jlo engine .1963-64 west bend was used .
i have the first nethercutt to be restored from 1963 era
1963-64 nethercutt was sold to orla larson and renamed rokon.
