Title: EUD 519C
Post by: briand2 on August 23, 2016, 09:36:57 PM
I would love to find my first ever bike which I bought new in 1965. Would like to buy it back but even to see it again would be great!

Do you recall the make and model?

https://www.cartell.ie/ is a handy site where you can look up vehicles just on registration number. It shows your bike as a BSA.

Then using https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ it's shown as a 250cc but not taxed or SORN which implies it's being kept off the road and has not been taxed for some years.

All that then would make it a C 15?

I'd say so.
Last taxed 1983, so new enough to be on the DVLA computer, still extant in 1983 so past the "pile of worthless scrap" era, so as said, probably languishing in the proverbial "I'll restore that old BSA one day" dreamer's shed, never to see the light of day until he croaks.

Sorry, of course I should have stated make and model, As rightly stated it was/is a BSA C15, metallic blue with chrome sided tank.
