Title: Mystery bike - photo taken in Shetland
Post by: kettlaness on March 27, 2017, 09:40:46 PM
Hi,

First, apologies for the poor quality of the photo; there might just be enough on show for someone to be able to identify this bike.  The photo was certainly taken in Shetland - I'm guessing, in the 1920s ?.

Thank you for any comments.

Wouldn't it be fun to know the story of the photo? I'd be pretty sure that the man sitting on the bike is not the owner, and probably not even a motorcyclist. His left foot is on the brake pedal (?) rather than the footrest!

Its on Shetland, probably got his foot on the brake because there was a wind blowing!

Yep, not ideal conditions for a photo, but at least the snow had melted for that day.. ;)
