Title: Help: Rearset plans for Royal Enfield
Post by: CRP on September 05, 2007, 01:54:13 PM
Hi, I live in Mumbai, India and the bike I currently own is a 2005 Royal Enfield Bullet. Its not what you call vintage, butttt its essentially as good as a Bullet 50 years ago. Although it cannot do the ton, I have always wanted to have a Cafe Racer look for this bike.

Here are some pics of my bike which is almost complete. The only thing thats left are the front mudguard, rearsets and a different brand of tyres. All your comments and suggestions are welcome.

The bike when it was first brought in January 2005 :

This is how it looks as of now:

These are the following changes:

Next on the list is the rearset
Could anyone give me detailed instructions on how to get them made. I've figured out about the gear lever linkage. Problem is the brake lever linkage. Currently, the brake is on the left side of the rear tyre AND the brake lever is on the right side. If I plan to make them rearsets, how do I make the new linkage so that it doesn't interfere with the kick lever?!
