Greetings all. I purchased the attached gas tank at a swap meet AKA Auto Jumble, and I have no idea what model bike it came from. Please let me know if anybody can identify it. Thanks in advance, Steve

Can you tell if any threads are imperial or metric, this may sort out a possible origin at least.
I've got something not too dissimilar which is supposed to be for a competition tiger cub ?
Although the fore and aft tank mounts are not really the same actual shape as yours.
A comparison of c-to-c distances may be instructive ?
Your tank also seems to have tank mounts underneath at the front,
so maybe someone was hedging their bets ?
Unless they were for something to bolt up to.

Threads are Imperial.

Hi,
A side on photo should help id the tank
The fliptop filler cap and breather in front of it suggest ZB BSA GS,
the front mountings that take the rubber inserts also fit
But!!
I have not seen anything like the rear mountings on a BSA before

The rear mounts are reminiscent of the early plunger A7/10, but they also look like a later addition to me.

Found this on Google Images: New BSA Zb32 Gold Star Chrome Petrol Tank,

Just no rear mount. Maybe rear mount was added.

I don't know if this helps. My 1950ish ZB32 Goldie (Zb32GS3199). It certainly had the flip top filler, but never looked at the tank fixings. Couldn't afford colour film in the 60s.
I did rotate it; honest.
