Title: Norton Dominator 650SS engine tuner?
Post by: Jacko500 on May 30, 2019, 11:29:14 AM
I have just acquired a Norton Dominator 650SS 1961 which has not been used for some time due to the previous owner passing away.
On top of the timing cover and also the outer gearbox casing is stamped the name- James Woodland (not the last owners name by the way).
Obviously I cant ask the previous owner and there is no paperwork with the bike with any reference to this name.
Maybe he just rebuilt the engine some time ago and was proud of his work?  ;)
The bike looks like it may have had some tuning work done in the past(competition mag/big valves fitted/J-Tickle TLS front brake etc.), so maybe he is an old school tuner from back in the day?
Does anybody know who James Woodland is?
This is my 1st post on here so I hope this message looks ok and makes sense.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

You d be a lot more likely to get an answer at the Norton Owners Club.........if you email the sec ,they may let you put a message on the forum  without payin 20 quid for a membership.
