After a lot of searching (years) I have found me a pair of Britax rear crash bars. Has anyone got or know of a source for fitting instructions? Looking at them it doesn't appear to be to difficult, but one immediate snag I can see is that the top anchorage bracket is to thick to fit between the mudguard cotton reel spacer and the frame. If the spacer is left out then the anchorage bracket is not wide enough. Has anyone fitted Britax rear crash bars, and if you did how did you do it?

They're not for me so I would never fit them, but why don't you just replace the cotton reel spacer with a thinner one to take the anchorage bracket as well?
Even a nut would probably do.

Cop bikes always had rear crashbars to protect the saddlebags and radio.....I probably have a couple of sets from ex police BSA A65s ......be well rusted by now.

Met Police triumphs only fitted front bars, britax mostly to carry legshields.
Try fitting on then outside of the top shocker bolt?
From my experience of them you soon take them off, big feet in big boots, your heel will catch when starting
