Have a look in Old Bike Mart, few in there. My local wheel chap only charges £35 per wheel if you supply the parts. ( near Basildon ).

I always have any delivered parts sent to my works address. I always close the garage when guys in trucks ringing bells drive down the road. This is a real shame, inside information of some description.

I rebuilt a 197 Villiers F/Barnet a couple of years ago, got most of my help from the owners club forum which was free at the time. Good luck  :D

I agree with the last post, not a hard job at all. IF you have confidence, some people don't. I did not want to deflate the poster of the thread.

An old boy I know in Essex got badly bitten by a guy that advertised in one of the bike rags. Took a day and half and the sparks sleep in his van overnight. Massive bill £££££, it was only a Francis Barnett, be careful; it only takes an hour or so if you a good loom and a circuit tester. Regards  ;)

On unit two strokes, if the drive side seal goes it blows an oil spray out of the gearbox breather.

I mentioned seals re my Bantam. This could be reinforced by the history of the Lambretta Engines, nearly every Lambretta for sale has had new seals at some stage. There are heaps of the seals for sale on ebay. Seems to be a two stroke trait.

Seals come to mind, as soon as they get warm this could happen. I had a Bantam that did exactly the same.
