Thanks for confirming that Leon, am a a lot happier now I know I don’t have to buy new rims.
When I said I have 2 RT,s , well I sort of have 3 but an making one into a wedge tank. I have been looking for ages for a tank to no avail but found a rusted out one at a swap a month ago. Made an excellent pattern.
So that’s what today’s project was in the shed.. make a wedge tank. I only have to tail cap to go.

Ok, rims are westwood shaped, are definitely 20” with a width of 2”.
Going to order some 24 x 2 1/4 f see how I go.

Ok guys, I am having a little trouble getting the tyres not to rub on the guards. I have just about fixed this problem but double checking what other guys with RT,s have for tyres on their bikes?
Other guys I have spoken to all are running 26 x 3 front & rear, books I have read have said the same & then I find one book that says 24 x 2 1/2.

Hi Rob, I don’t know where you live but in Aust pre 1930 lights were an optional extra. A pic of the maggy setup would be nice.

If all you need is a tank to finish a bike project then fit an Indian made one until you find an original... if that’s what you want.
