Unfortunately I don't know who they are. I suspect the person in the middle is my Grandad's brother, but I only remember him as a man in his 90s, so can't be sure. It is a shame we don't ask more questions when the people who can answer them are still around.

Thank you for the speedy reply.

The photo would have been taken in Manchester, Uk. As my Grandad was born in 1912, it would almost certainly have dated the photo to the 30s.

I have been trying to match the shape of the exhaust, along with the fitting on the pipe, the thickness of the front mud guard and bracket on the headlight to photos of bikes online. I have hit a brick wall I am afraid. Hopefully somebody here will recognise the bike from the small clues in the photo.

Hi, I am hoping that somebody can help.

This is a photo of my Grandad (at the front of the bike), probably in the 1930s. I am struggling to work out what the bike is, as there is so little of it visible.

If anybody has any pointers or suggestions I would be extremely grateful.
