American Bikes / Re: Looking for 1915 Harley Parts

Back from riding my 1915 Harley most of the way across the US on the Motorcycle Cannonball - what an experience!

Read about it on www.caimag.com or see some of the several videos I made on Youtube.

European and Other Bikes / Moto Guzzi 250 Airone?

Pretty rare bike here in the US. Curious how popular the Moto Guzzi 250 Airones are in England? I have only seen a few here in the US, including the ex-police 1955 model in my garage right now.

I recently got VERY lucky and found and purchased a complete, correct and running 1915 Harley twin. Horray! Still looking for decent spares for the upcoming Motorcycle Cannonball Run coast to coast across the US in September.

The 741B Indian Junior Scout looked a lot better than it functioned - at least if you were in any kind of hurry to get to your destination. They were mostly sold to the Allied Forces (like Canada, England, Australia, etc).

Cool looking - sort of like a shrunken down Sport Scout. Not worth as much and less desirable but fun to build and ride.

Well I have found many of the parts I was looking for related to a 1915 Harley but am still open for the missing pieces and some spares as it is a long ride. Details on this and other aspects of my bike and build at Classic American Iron Magazine and forum at http://www.caimag.com

I recently purchased the 250 Airone version and am very much enjoying it.

I have a number of friends who ride their Airones in the US Moto Giro event and I have had to work hard to keep up with them while competing on my 1966 Ducati 250.

I am about to start my next project - a 1915 Harley twin to ride coast to coast here in the US in September 2010 as part of the Motorcycle Cannonball www.motorcyclecannonball.com and need a decent set of 1915 or 1916 twin cases.

All leads for the cases or other parts appreciated.

Other than the head light it looks very correct and good. I have an original paint 1924 Harley JD and can tell you what great riding machines they are.

Lots of photos of it on the Classic American Iron site at www.caimag.com
