« on: March 10, 2017, 09:11:33 PM »
Hi All,
This lightweight 2 stroke with I think Villiers engine and Burman gearbox is for sale on eBay UK
It has a dynamo down in front of the crankcase and its drive is covered by the primary case

Any ideas on what it might be?

Autojumble / Burman RPD sleeve gear wanted
« on: October 02, 2011, 03:13:38 PM »
Hi All,
I am looking for a sleeve gear from a Burman RPD gearbox,
The box was bought to fit an OK Supreme c1934,
It looks as if the original gear was "borrowed for something else and the knackered one put back into the box :(
It should have 26 teeth and I figure the O/D should be 2.0in.
The overall length of the sleeve gear including the engagemant dogs is 2.312in (2 5/16)
30mm diamater for the main bearing
See attached photos

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Identify these bikes! / 8 in. TLS Brakeplate ID?
« on: January 15, 2011, 09:35:42 PM »
HI All,
Can anyone ID the intended fitment of this 8 inch TLS brakeplate?
It looks to be of the same manufacture as the "Taylor Dow" brakeplate on my SR, same levers and fittings
It will not fit a BSA 8in. single sided drum !
It will not fit a BSA 190mm hub !

The brakeplate anchors onto a raised lug on the fork leg (like a late A10). But the outer appearnce is very different to the TD brake I have on a full width hub wheel
The spindle hole measures 19.8mm
The shoes stick out 40mm (app) from the lip on the plate,
48mm from the piece that goes against the wheel bearing
The recess that fits over the wheel hub is 58mm dia (app)

The last pic shows the plate compared to the one that fits the 8in. single sided hub
