Thanks, I've registered on the owners club site and asked but no one knows for sure. Apparently, early Yamahas matched as did Brit bikes. Found some charts online with GS numbers on bit it was too small and blurred to read. There's some great contacts on the site though, cheers, hammer.

I have a 1978 GS1000 and although the numbers on the bike are what they should be according to the reg. docs, they are not the same. I've been told that they should be(I don't agree) but have found so many conflicting views. Can anyone tell me for certain?

Japanese Bikes / cleaning brushes

Hello, I've just joined and wondered if anyone can tell me where i might get some slimline wire brushes for cleaning in confined spaces.
I'm looking for various sizes preferably with fine brass bristles that would be ok for cylinder fins. Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks.
