British Bikes / Re: Misfire on Triton
« on: August 28, 2018, 04:58:30 PM »
Had similar problem on my Triton, it has a T140 top end with twin 930’s. Tried changing plugs, leads, coils, voltage regulator, needles, set float heights too, all to no avail. Came to change jets and noticed one had come loose, tightened it up, problem solved.

I've had a similar issue, mine is t140 head and barrells on a t120 bottom end. There was some play between valve and guide and the gap on the piston rings was over what it should be. These have now all been changed but was still smoking. Could have been residue left in exhaust or bedding in of valves and rings but since I drained all the oil out of the sump it seems to have stopped smoking.

I've also been working on a Triton, mine has a t120v bottom end with a 10 stud t140 top end, all seems to work well so far.

I have a 1965 A65 Rocket. It was originally delivered to the Chief Constable of Leics police in white as his own personal bike. I have painted the central section of the tank white and need a stripe between this and the polished chrome of the sides. Any suggestion as to what this colour should be?

My A65 Rocket runs nicely on 930 concentrics, with 200 jets and top needle slot. Cut away is 3.5 I think.

Sometimes get leakage from the Alternator/Dynamo straight to earth. To check this need to disconnect alternator, run bike from battery and check to see if you can get a voltage reading from frame.

On the following page or pages to the above, Draganfly advertise a sealant that is not affected by ethanol.

My Rocket has a U shaped piece that fits on the frame at the back of the engine. The arms of the U have the fitting lugs with clips that the oddie studs from the side panel fit into. The coils are also fitted onto this U shaped piece.
