Identify these bikes! / Re: Bmw boxer engine motorbike or what?
« on: December 14, 2018, 12:54:42 PM »
A Zundapp does have the separate rocker boxes, also the plunger suspension features are the same. Some details are different from the "Green Elephant" which is why I was cautious about model identification!

I think it's a Zundapp, probably a K series 'Green Elephant' but that's the full extent of my knowledge!

Beardyman, try asking them. I know nothing about Cubs but have been told by a pal who built one that Greystone are about the best one stop supplier. Alternative is Ace Classics though they mainly do twins.

Greystone Enterprises, http://www.tigercubspares.co.uk/ should be top of your list. They also attend the regular Kempton Park Autojumble with a full stall of stuff.

The welding on the main pressing edges is excellent but the mounts are poor. They are over recesses so it is possible the original fixings were expanding rubbers?

Japanese Bikes / Re: Source of pannier keys?

Thanks chaps, I was hoping someone might have had direct experience. Our local "locksmith' can barely copy an existing key...

Japanese Bikes / Source of pannier keys?
« on: October 31, 2018, 07:30:23 PM »
I'm sorry if this is OT but it's not a subject that fits into an easy category! I have a set of Yamaha factory accessory panniers and their frames that I want to sell but I can't find the keys. Is there anyone who might be able to provide or cut these? There don't seem to be any numbers on the locks. The bike was (I no longer have it,) a 2003 600 Diversion, if that makes any difference. :-\

British Bikes / Identify these footrests please!
« on: October 18, 2018, 12:11:28 PM »
These footrests came to me from a garage clearance. I cannot find pictures of anything like them. What you can't see in the picture is that the inboard end has a fine daisy serration presumably for adjustment. They have a part number cast in to one rest, A120/124.RX/2 MP A1(the M and P are vertical)  They are 10" & 8-3/4" respectively. Could the MP be for Metal Profiles? And of course, they are for sale if anyone recognises them!

Indian home market Bullets use a fairly simple battery carrier that looks suitably period and for the money, a good start. Like this, Ebay item 142958351160
