Any chance we could see the last photo full size? Might be the best one to identify it from...

I had a look but it doesn't appear on the DVLA's vehicle enquiry system, so it's neither taxed or on SORN at the moment.  Have a look for yourself:

I had a '66 Saint in the early seventies, too. Ex Liverpool and Bootle Constabulary, great bike.

Also lived near Worcester (still do, in fact).

Best of luck with your search.

Nice idea, but don't "E"s go the other way?

Depends which way you look at it  ;)

It's clearly a one-off, just thought it might have been made for an Enfield of some description.

Just a hunch, but if you squint it looks like an 'E' on the side...Enfield?

Identify these bikes! / Re: Brit frame

You'll probably find the H if you rub it down to the bare metal. If it's there then you have a frame from a 1962 350 or 500, as L.A.B. says.

Thanks guys. Do you know where the frame number is?

I'd have thought you'd find it on the left side of the headstock, that's where mine was.

I must be mad too then  ;) ;) ;)

That looks like a nice little project to me, you could restore it as a racer or easily put it back to standard.

Yes, Bloor Homes did build the houses on the site of the old factory at Meriden. Not sure about Armoury Road though.

Looks very Triumph to me, but the number beginning with an 'F' isn't ringing any bells...

Here you go R. It's housed in a replica of a Grand Prix, using a frame from a 1937 Speed Twin.

I'm trying to identify a 500cc Triumph engine, serial number GP 7301 MKII. At first I thought it was a Tiger 100 Grand Prix, as it has the alloy barrels of that model, but records show all of those had engine numbers starting with T100 and ending in R. Any ideas?

Don't miss this, it's all about Ernst Degner's defection. Weird to think it was 50 years ago.

Well it's an Ariel  :) that's for sure! About 1927 I'd say, it's got the saddle tank but still has acetylene lighting. Probably a 500 sv although they did make a 557 and 600 around that time.
