Dude, you really need to downsize your pictures. All I can see in most of them is a back wheel.

"Someone could pedal over there and have a look."
I plan to go there in the next month or so but I don't think I will 'pedal' over there. You do realise there are a couple of bumps between inland (Tamworth) and the coast?

I have had success in these type situations by heating the cases until a match wood will burn when touched to case and then spraying the bearing with aerosol freeze spray to shrink the bearing and break the bond between case and bearing. I think the press would be far more than needed for this job.
This is the one I used.

Good luck trying to find a fifty year old Honda tank without a base like a collander..
Sorry, forgot you are in Pomland (rustland?).

I think something like a 1970s CB250 tank might fit better.

Much better. I probably worked on one or two of the planes built when Jack worked at the Douglas factory when I was a lot younger. I remember some of the 'artwork' that was in behind the rear bulkheads of the C47's being one from "Rosie the riveter, California 1942".

Any idea who would have made the box for Douglas?

Thank you Cardan. I was thinking similar fluid grease or maybe cotton picker or track grease. Would using a felt seal between the pulley and housing be any good?

Probably not, but would like to know what was used in it originally.

I have it all freed up and back together, any suggestions on what sort of lube to fill it with?

Thanks R that certainly looks like it.
Thanks to all who replied. The box I plan to clean up and put aside until I see one of the local Douglas owners. The carb I could use on a Villiers engine if I could find the rest of it.
