front hand brake lever ........... just putting this on a douglas speedway thing im building , it has no makers name but I see its a hand brake also , who fitted these ? is it a after market part from the 30s ? its a good idea

I'm pretty sure it's BSA, from the 1930s. How about a pic of the "Douglas speedway thing"?

when its rolling , you wont like it but its the closest I will get to a speedway douglas (again as I used to have one now sold, big mistake ) for a long time
the only two pics i have left , it was my farthers he bought it when he left the RAF

If you mean it can be locked on, BSAs of the '30s often  had them for combo use.
