Hello everyone. I am just venturing into this exciting world of bikes from the muscle car world and need to know....I just bought a 62 and a 63 B40 to restore and would like to know if you would leave them as 6V or convert to 12V and why or why not..
Thanks in advance.

12V every time. Better lights, cheaper (and more choice) batteries, bulbs from any car parts place, solid state rectifiers, etc etc.
The question should be "why NOT convert?" as it's so cheap and easy.

Thanks for the response Rex. Is there some sort of complete kit to do this or instructions on it that outlines what I will need to convert and part #'s and such? I have a 62 and a 63 BSA B40 to restore? I'm new to this from the car world.
Thanks in advance!
