20's Twin - make unknown - Help plse !

Can anyone identify the attached - it was one of several 20's/30's bikes my uncle owned in the 40's/50's. All long since scrapped unfortunately!. ???

I think that photo is horizontally reversed?

As everything seems to be on the 'wrong' side?

I think the bike should look like this? And can you say which country the photo was taken in?

By the Tank shape and painted side panel detail it looks like a Beardmore Precision

Yes it's a Beardmore Precision - a 350cc side valve Precision single from the early 1920s. The front fork has a leaf spring, but unlike some of its big brothers this one has a rigid rear end. It's not a lightweight though - the tank (which forms part of the frame) is made from very heavy gauge steel.

I worked on one of these a while back: when I started it I had trouble with fine rust particles from the tank blocking the jet. Just how do you shake this one and tip it upside down???

A very nice machine.

Thanks chaps - that was a quick result!. My uncle lived in Stone in Staffordshire - had a garagefull of old bikes back then but as I said - all eventually scrapped.
