I suppose just a part exchange or swap will limit your result. Show us a picture of your Manxman.

That's true. What are the chances of someone just happening to need your parts and having the parts you need?

Broadly speaking, although OBM etc used to list potential swaps, do such swaps ever happen in reality?
I'm sure a 1969 Tiger 100 head could be swapped for a 1971 head, but obscure parts from long gone models must be next to impossible.

Anyway, I have a 1912 FN rear wheel spindle and I need a 1936 Super X tyre pump. Any takers... ;)

Yes, i could bid on a Model X Matchless motor on ebay at the moment but it's missing the crankshaft, i wonder how many years i should wait to find one of them without knackered drive and timing shafts?I' m afraid t
it's a waiting game these days!

its a long shot but if you dont try you never know , heres a pic of the manxman im trying to finish at the moment , ive found all parts can either be sorced or made without exception ( if you have a worn out part etc ) i damaged the stermy archer hub on my Humber some years ago and after having the damaged gears re made ( £1050 ) i was ofered a complette wheel ( which i bought ) i wish id have advertised first

agree with all the above, the  chances of someone having the rare part you need and wants the rare part you have have long gone,  since about 40 years ago.

Plus the sort of old geezer that hoards those rare parts doesnt usually use a computer.

sell it for as much as you can and add the cash to your bike fund.
