Russian Minsk M1A
« on: February 21, 2017, 12:24:23 AM »
Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum.

I tried the search function and didn't find any related posts, so sorry if this is a question that's often asked or posted.

Does anyone know about how much a running Russian Minsk M1A goes for?
Would anyone know where to find one for sale? I spent two days searching on google and found two that were sold in the USA in the past year.
I am from Toronto Canada.

Thanks so much for reading this and thanks in advance for your time, help and opinion.

Cheers,
Kevin

Welcome.
Cannot help you with a Minsk, but there were a lot of copies made in Asia (which were copies of copies of DKW).

Hello Murdo,

Thanks for your reply.

My research didn't tell me about these asian copies.
Do you have any links about them or model name/numbers?

Thanks so much!
Cheers,
Kevin

Oh do you mean the Yamaha ya-1?

Yeah they are super rare and really expensive.

I found two minsk m1a's that sold in the usa for 1600 and 1000 USD.

Thanks again!
Cheers,

Kevin

Was marketed as Neval in UK, Vietnam/Thailand is also a big market for Minsk. I'm sure China would have copied it, they have everything else.
I would think that a few made their way to Europe too.  Maybe a trip to Russia on the cards?

Russian 2 strokes had such an appalling reputation here in the past I can't imagine why any one would want one.
