Do you have a VP sidecar ?
« on: December 14, 2016, 06:37:36 PM »
Hi - my name is Kerry Marsh. I'm starting the restoration of a VP sidecar - take a look at the photo. Although the external body is quite good, the sheet steel cockpit floor is badly rusted away and I'm missing several key parts.

If you have a decent example of one of these sidecars, I'd be grateful if you would let me inspect it, measure it and photograph it.

Many thanks,
                    Kerry

Kerry, I noticed your message re the VP Viper and am able to help. The Viper was a post-war version of the Swallow Sidecars model 8. Ron Pier had a Norton/Viper combination (images available on the HMVF website) and sent me some measurements of the body which I enclose; Ron's e-mail address is    ronpier@talk21.com    and he'll be happy to offer advice if he can. Hope this is useful. I'd be grateful if you could let me know if you have more detailed measurements as I'm trying to assemble as much information as possible for a scale drawing. Regards, Rob Turner
