Title: BSA Goldstar speedo and tacho
Post by: Tedley on September 09, 2009, 03:15:00 PM
Hello folks,
I'm new to the forum and wondered if anyone can help please.
Anyone know the Smiths part numbers for the chronometric speedo and rev counter on a 1954 DB 500 Goldstar?
Thanks in advance

Ted

Welcome Ted,

Listed in the 1954-58 Smiths Motor Cycle Equipment catalogue, for Gold Star swinging arm frame clubmans & road racing models, the MPH speedo was a Smiths S.546/3/L and the tacho was type RC83.

The speedo and rev counter needles should both start at 13.00 hrs.
