Title: brit helmetys
Post by: tiger7 on December 24, 2005, 02:46:51 PM
:) does anyone out there have a suggestion as to where I can locate/purchase (reasonably) a british motorcycle helmet fondly known as a "puddin basin" or puddin pot. Would like to own a black one but will consider any color. Used preferred.  Thank you all.  Al P.

Get in touch with Davida or one of their distributors as they manufacture this type of helmet. However, they are not legal to wear on the public highway in the UK, so beware. The cost varies on the design and should be between £100/150. Alternatively, you may be lucky and find one at a classic autojumble. I found a small 1950's helmet at Cheltenham earlier this year and paid £20 for it! Good hunting

;) Thanks Geoff for your response. Love brit stuff and hope to land a Helmet (used/oldy) soon. P.S. I think Bumfire day is cool (Nov 5??)
