Title: BSA SINGLE HELP

i am rebuilding a BSA single and would like to know if it is a 350 or 500cc.  the serial # on the case is ZB 34 GS 2164.  

any other info would be greatly appreciated.  thanks.

 ZB34GS = 500cc Gold Star, 2164 = from the 1950 model year.

If you are rebuilding it then the bore and stroke measurements (85 x 88mm) should confirm this?

what carburetor should i use with it?  i have a few monoblocs around but i am unsure of the sizes.  what size do you recommend?  thanks.

Nigel (Vintagebike) can possibly give you more Gold Star info?

The best info I can find were the recommended B34 Monobloc settings:

Choke 1 -1/8
Main Jet - 240
Throttle Valve - 389/3
Needle Position 2
Needle Jet - .1065

Probably a good starting point anyhow.
